About Our Natural Path
Alyson Halpin started her business as a dog groomer after graduating from the Nash Academy of the Animal Arts in 1991. She continued working as a Veterinary Technician while starting up her business. By 1995, she attended and graduated from National K9 School of Dog Trainers in Ohio, while taking Veterinary technician courses at Ohio State. She is certified in Service Dog Training, Search & Rescue Training and specialized in Canine Behavior. She had the opportunity to train with the Ohio State K9 Police in K9 police work & protection; also volunteer with the Ohio State Search and Rescue Team and attended Pilot Dogs Service Dog Program.

Alyson remained part time with her business, as she continued to work full time at Oradell Animal Hospital. She left Oradell in 2000, to work with a Veterinary Housecall Service, where the Veterinarian specialized in holistic alternatives. Alyson pursued further education in holistic therapies for Bach Flower Essence training from a Bach Flower Practitioner and trained in Crystal Healing also. By 2001, she attended a holistic school  and became certified in Reiki, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Shamanic Healing and Animal Communication. She earned a certificate in Aromatherapy in 2007. In 2007, she became a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher from the Trinity Center for Natural Healing. Alyson still attends continuing education classes for both humans and animals, to keep up to date on the new techniques and modalities she practices.

Alyson noticed significant changes in the animals she was working with and wanted to assist them further with their healing, along with educating the animal's guardians. In 2009, Alyson enrolled at Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute and graduated in 2010 as a Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner. She graduated  in 2011 as an Equine (Large Animal) Acupressure Practitioner. She continued her education in Tui Na Massage in 2011, has taken Horse Temperament Typing from Dr. Madelyn Ward's program from Tallgrass in 2011, Fascial Energetics from Mike Scott in 2010. In 2012, Alyson became Nationally Board Certified from the NBCAAM as a Nationally Board Certified Small Animal and Large Animal Acupressure Practitioner. March 2014, she graduated from Northwest School of Animal Massage with her certificate of Small Animal Massage.

As of 2016, Alyson has a certification in Lymphatic Drain and Edema massage; and continuing on for certification in Fitness and Rehab. She is now finishing up a re-certification program on canine nutrition.

Alyson's Practice has transformed and grown over the years to assist animals and their companions on their journeys. She assists in every aspect of the Human-Animal Bond and Relationship, coaching people from proper training, good nutrition and enjoying life. She trains with the Ramapo Kennel Club and works with breeders during performance and conformation events.

Alyson volunteers her time for special activities closest to her heart. She is a lead and side walker for a Hippotherapy Organization in Northern NJ. She is a member and now retired volunteer with the Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs. Her team companion, Kiley, could no longer provide assistance to the cardiology & oncology departments at Luckow Hospital and Valley Hospital, or the therapeutic assistance to Children's Centers for Autism and Special Needs due to her lab's age and difficulty with arthritis & diabetes. Kiley transitioned over Rainbow Bridge on December 21, 2012.

She volunteers healing sessions for rescues and shelters for animals in need. Alyson is also an advocate for Autism awareness and a member of Autism Speaks. She advocates for Animal Welfare through the Humane Society and for Women's Cancer Awareness.

She lives in Central NJ with her husband, 3 sons, and two wonderful Labrador Retrievers.
